Preseason Update

February pre - season the player group took on the 2nd 2km time trial. Times in this 2nd run were very important to me and saw nearly everyone beat their previous time and majority beating it by 30 sec. This was a real pleasing result for players and Myself, as this showed our fitness is very good, already better than previous years, and am expecting the guys to fully run out games.

Mitch Nazer has some work to do as his time of 7.11, was beaten by Youngster Jake Hansen - 7.09. (The banter and competitiveness is well and truly alive and making us all better)

The Ladies also need to be mentioned as the ones who have run their 2km have beaten their previous times, which shows that its not just the guys doing the hard work to improve their fitness, its infectious throughout the whole player group and the Club is striving for excellence. Well done to everyone

We have had 2 Intraclub matches - which to be honest were not the best as numbers were a bit low, but still a good little hit out.

Our core group have been training really well and fitness does not seem to be an issue. February has seen the mouth guards come out as it has been more physical with lots of competitive work being done.

We have hit a bit of a bad patch with Injuries and low numbers on the track. The pleasing thing (if there is one) is that our injured players are still coming down to training and they are also seeking treatment, which is a show of commitment and determination to get back on the track sooner. The numbers have been a bit low but the Core League Group have consistently been training which has been a real plus.
This year we don’t want injured players sitting at home, we need them seeking treatment to get back on the track as soon as possible.
We need all players available every week.

Our new structures of playing and setting up, have been going well, but we need everyone on track to really ensure that every player knows their role.
