Davilak Clubrooms Kitchen Equipment Gets a Fresh Upgrade Thanks to City of Cockburn Grant

We’re excited to share that the Davilak Clubrooms kitchen equipment has undergone a much-needed upgrade, made possible through a $3,000 Community Grant from the City of Cockburn.

With these funds, we’ve been able to transform our kitchen into a more energy-efficient, user-friendly, and food-safe space – making it more functional for our community groups, event organisers, and volunteers.

What’s New in the Kitchen?

Thanks to the grant, we were able to purchase a range of new equipment, including:

• A Fridge/Freezer Combo for improved food storage and energy savings

• A Griddle and Contact Grill for versatile and safer cooking options

• A modern Microwave and Airfryer to support quick and healthy food preparation

• A Food Safety Thermometer to ensure compliance with current health standards

• A Vacuum to keep the space clean and hygienic

• And new Glasses to support community functions and reduce single-use waste

These upgrades have already made a big difference to the way our kitchen operates — it’s cleaner, easier to use, and better equipped for events of all sizes.

Boosting Community Engagement

The new kitchen setup has made meal preparation easier and more efficient for current users. The upgraded space is now better equipped to support a wider range of community activities moving forward.

We’re confident that these enhancements will lead to even greater use of the Davilak Clubrooms and help ensure it remains a welcoming and functional space for everyone in our community.
